Hello 2024
Welcome 2024. A New Year of opportunity for all.
Dalmane has been developing her skills now for 4 years now. She is branching out into exciting new artistic directions while continuing with her Bloom and Swipe Fluid Art. Mandala Art has become a very popular past time for many and there are multiple benefits to working with the cultural drawing, painting and dotting style.
Historically the Mandala (Circle/Center) was used as as way to align and understand ourself in the universe and in relation to our God. All over the world different cultures created mandala works even though they may not have seen them before or been influenced from anywhere else. Examples of these can be seen in Paris' Notre Dame Chapel in the Rose stained glass art, In Irelands Keltic Cross and in Persian/Indian/Asian Rugs. Today we see the designs in fabric, home decor, and art.
Dalmane has been giving many classes on the mandala and is starting to feel a deeper meaning to its value.
Most recently she has been communing with authentic Bison skulls and only after asking their spirit for permission she paints them. Watch for their availability at the Pure West Art & Artifact Auction on June 9th in Calgary. Online bidding will also be available. Watch in May for the actual Auction items.
Currently Dalmane ART Shepherd has one skull for sale:
